Comments: Dancing and ever grateful because of Dr. D! I needed a full hip replacement due to osteoarthritis. Dr. Davidovitch's name came up numerous times from word-of-mouth recommendations and I experienced why. From my first office visit, he possessed the calm demeanor and confidence of having done his anterior surgical procedure legions of times, while maintaining the attention and concern for my particular situation, knowing that this was my first time approaching surgery of this type. He instantly put me at ease, explained everything thoroughly, patiently and made himself accessible for further consultation if needed. The staff at Dr. Davidovitch's office from his PA, to the RNs, and administrative personnel were all part of what made this process smooth & pleasant! An app was part of my pre- and post-op experience and was supportive, offering videos, articles and tracking my pre- and post-op experience and healing. Communication with Dr. Davidovitch's team, pre- & post-op, was always reciprocal and and I received "check-in" emails asking how I was faring on both sides of surgery. Dr. Davidovitch came to visit me at my pre-surgical station and put me at ease with his reassuring presence and good humor. His surgical team were all a part of this stellar staff! The in-and-out of the hospital on the same day of my anterior full hip replacement at Langone was a great way to start recovery! Home exercises and an ice machine were part of the first 2 weeks of recovery and then a 2-month regimen of twice weekly PT. I was back at my elementary school job as a Guidance Counselor, running about and climbing up & down 5 flights of stairs within 3 weeks (after all it was "with your new hip" as Dr. Davidovitch reminded me when I asked about the feasibility of covering all those stairs.) I was back in dance class (ballet, jazz) within 3 months. No restrictions and I still enjoy doing pointe work as I come upon my 2-year anniversary in May of my superbly, successful surgery! My left hip is waiting in the wings and will require the same procedure down the line. In our 1-year post-op visit discussing that prospect, Dr. Davidovitch amusingly stated, "You know the movie!" I replied, "And, I love the ending!" Professionalism, competence and humanity at its best!
